Welcome to Whitthorne Middle School, proudly serving students and families in Columbia, Tennessee. As part of Maury County Public Schools, Whitthorne Middle School is committed to fostering academic excellence, personal growth, and a strong sense of community for every student who walks through our doors.
Located in the heart of Columbia, our school provides a supportive and engaging environment where students in grades 5–8 are encouraged to explore their interests, develop their talents, and build the skills they need for future success. Ready – A Whitthorne student is prepared, self-advocating, and goal-oriented. They come to school ready to learn, set meaningful goals, and take initiative in achieving them. Focused and forward-thinking, actively seek support, embrace challenges, and consistently move forward—academically, socially, and personally.
Respectful – Our students demonstrate social intelligence by treating others with kindness, empathy, and understanding. They promote diversity, appreciate different perspectives, and value the education and contributions of staff, peers, and the wider community.
